Mille Miglia

Great Race Series - No.2] Stirling Moss' record (which I believe still stands) for completing this 1000 miles course is just over 10 hours (10 hours, 7 minutes, and 48 seconds, to be precise) at an average speed of 98.53 mph in '1955' on 'normal' roads, that's if you can call narrow cobbled streets normal! To me that is one of the most amazing achievement in Motor sport history. So is it really worth doing it? Too right it is! Forget the Gumball Rally and all its pathetic imitators, this is a race (sorry slip of the tongue, Rally) for men - the Mille Miglia is the king of all road trips and the most intense weekend’s motoring you’ll ever have.
